Terms & Conditions
Last updated 2026
By using VPN Config Generator (the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
VPN Config Generator is a free, browser-based tool that assembles VPN configuration files from details you provide. It generates text and key material locally on your device.
We are not a VPN provider. We do not operate VPN servers, we do not route, proxy or carry any of your network traffic, and we do not sell VPN access or subscriptions. To use a generated config you need your own server or an account with a separate VPN provider.
2. No account, no fees
The Service requires no registration and is provided free of charge. We may change, limit or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice.
3. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not use the Service:
- for any purpose that is unlawful in your jurisdiction, or that violates the terms of your VPN provider or network operator;
- to gain unauthorised access to any network, system or account that is not yours;
- to generate configurations on behalf of someone else without their knowledge or permission;
- to attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the Service or the infrastructure hosting it;
- to conceal activity that harms other people.
VPN usage is regulated differently around the world, and in some countries it is restricted or requires a licence. You are solely responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you.
4. Your keys are your responsibility
Configuration files produced by the Service contain private keys, passwords and pre-shared keys. Because nothing is stored on our side, we cannot recover, reissue or revoke them. Losing a file means losing that credential; leaking a file means anyone holding it can connect in your place. Store downloaded files securely and delete them once imported.
5. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or that a generated configuration will be accepted by any particular server, client or provider. You are responsible for reviewing and testing any configuration before relying on it.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VPN Config Generator and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, loss of access, security incidents, service interruptions or costs arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service or any file it generates.
7. Third-party names
WireGuard, OpenVPN, strongSwan, Shadowsocks, V2Ray, Xray, Apple, Microsoft and Android are trademarks of their respective owners. VPN Config Generator is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. Protocol names are used only to describe the file formats produced.
8. Privacy
Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: the Service collects nothing you enter, because nothing you enter is sent to us.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version shown on this page is the one that applies. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. No support channel
The Service is published as a free tool with no account system and no contact address. Because nothing you generate is stored on our side, there is nothing for us to look up, recover or delete on request — everything lives on your own device.
